Peace of Mind.

Who doesn’t want a peaceful mind, a peaceful life? Everyone wants it. Those having it, chasing for money,  those with money chasing for peace. Isn’t life seems to be funny at times.

Recently, my friend, Vithya was reading a small booklet. A kind girl, she borrowed me the book upon my request. I felt so ‘light’ after reading the booklet.  Many things caught my attention. The words are simple and easy to understand. I managed to snap some pics. Sharing is caring. Let all of us get benefited by Swami Vivekananda’s spiritual teaching.

Forget and forgive-only way to retain peace.

really caught my attention. Simple words with deep meaning, summing up the whole meaning of need and wants.

avoid arguments, deflate your ego.

well said; no one is interested in you! so don’t waste time impressing everyone. Be united with Him. Your act of kindness will  impress Him.

Calmness is a powerful weapon to overcome bad situations. Be calm and humble.

The most powerful stress reliever, and gives peace: MEDITATION!

Value your time, procrastination only makes room for regret.

 They happy, we happy!

Learn from past and don’t regret. Instead, if what you did is bad, then bear the consequencesJ

Talk only with purpose, and stick to few ‘TESTED’ friends…

All I see, beads..beads..beads...

Yebo!

Guess where I went? Beads class!!!!

Yeap, I have passion for all these ladies thingy..beads, sewing, cooking, deco….etc ,etc..:P
So, I got a chance to learn how to make necklace, earrings and anklets. And right now, I’m wearing one of my handwork; my anklet! Feel so proud!

Have a look at my handwork. Oh, my sister and my mom, together with my aunt , we went for this class. A two days class, and all 60 of us were ladies. So much of Fun!! And that was first time I experienced how it feels working with girls. I studied in convent school, but they were all girls around my age. But this environment was totally different! All ages were there, helping each other, and they talk about their family while we youngsters (around 5 of us) just listen and laugh, and gain experience from their family life, too..LOL.

We had an ice-breaking session in the middle of the class, that was the time we got to know them well. Their family background, some are doing good, while some..hrmm, lets pray to God to Bless them.

My mom and my aunt busy-body :P

Priority to elders; my mother’s finished handcraft

 my aunt's

 my sister’s

lastly, mine! Am proud with my finished handcraft!

A way of presenting  handwork. Nice.

victory of good over evil

Referring to the post, what comes to your mind reading it?
ExactlyJ
Deepavali mode activated.
There is always a story behind every celebration. I don’t want you to say “Oh gosh’ here comes the same ‘copy-paste’ of Diwali ‘s history”.
Let me instead show our Diwali celebration this year.

Yes, Deepavali means ‘festival of lights’. What a celebration without lights? World getting advanced, so do the decos….. Isn’t it beautiful???

…and, of course, with rangoli kolam. Adds more color!

traditional cookies. No, no, she is not in a chemical lab. It’s just that she don’t want her face to be oily as Diwali was just around the corner  :P

Kids!! And they are my nieces and nephews!!
Adorable. One thing I realised, they are no more like us, fear of cameras! They don’t feel shy, instead they give pose!  All posers!

This sweet girl, she is very understanding. Never I have seen her fighting with the kids for toys. Instead, when others fighting, she will give her toy!!! Impressive!

Upin!

I like the chair, and she wants me to take pic of her on the chair.:P

You must see the way she walks. The foot don’t touch the floor completely, as though trying not hurting the floor. And, she looks like her mother.

Here comes Menora..

So, we drove to Johore.
Two cars, to Johore.  An 8-hour journey. But, it’s not about the journey.
It’s something along the journey.  Talking about long journey in highway, first thing that comes to my mind is : TUNNEL!
The Menora Tunnel, at North–South Expressway.

This tunnel fascinates me. I’ve no idea what so big thing about this tunnel, but whenever we reach near the tunnel, my eyes widened, trying to remember each and every details about this tunnel.
It’s like in a cave….Dark, only small lights aligned on the sides of the tunnel.  And you travel along, slowly, until you reach the end, and coming out the tunnel, so bright!
I have this admiration since I was a kid. When I was nine years old, we went to Kuala Lumpur for vacation. On the way, my dad kept on telling to not to sleep. He said there is something my sisters and I have to see. And , we saw the tunnel! Whoa!!
We don’t really go to far places, so my dad doesn’t want us to miss this opportunity. So we were awake all the time
Those were the time you hardly travel far for vacations. It was school holidays, and my sister started this topic of going somewhere for school break. (You know, when the school reopens, these rich kids will start stories on how they spent their holiday…and you sit there, listen, wishing you have a story to tell, too)
Though we were five of us, kids, and my dad was only a fireman at that time, he managed to bring us for a splendid holiday!
He brought us to many places, but till now only the tunnel truly fascinates me. My dad’s word has left a big impact on me.

its called inspiration!

What hurts the most?
- Saying something and wishing you had not.
- Or saying nothing and wishing you had.
I think the first, for that cannot be undone, but the other can always be rectified by coming back to it, and then saying something, (example) sorry, I was stuk for words at that moment, but want to say something now....
1st hurts most, you might have a chance to say something later. You will never have a chance to bring back the words you said.
Saying something you wish you had not. The words can never be withdrawn. unspoken words still have the chance to be spoken later.

Tears are simply the raindrops from the storms inside of us.

When life gives you a second chance, take it.

"You can’t prevent what happens to you, but you can choose how you respond."

"Almost all unhappiness in life comes from the tendency to blame someone else."

"To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did."
Always keep things straight up with people. Honesty makes relationships healthy and partnerships strong.

He who tries to forget a woman, never loved her.

Life becomes easier when you know which hands to shake and which hands to hold!

It's time to start living the life you've imagined.

If you don't make mistakes, you're not working on hard enough problems.
And that's a big mistake.

If you are never scared, embarrassed or hurt, it means you never take chances.

It takes years to build up trust. And it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it."

When people ask you - "Why it's so hard to trust people?"
Ask them - "Why is it so hard to keep a promise?"

Awesome guy :)

Ok, this is a funny one. But. I admire Him a lot!  Dressed up like a saint, He looks more like giving alm (food) than telling the menu for breakfast.

Standing there,
All day long,
Don’t you feel tired?

No, you don’t.
All-time routine
of yours,
Filling everyone’s stomach,
Happiness on your face
and theirs.

I feel dumb. The poem sounds weird. Written in a minute with what comes in my mind. Well, about this guy, He is a statue (I respect him, mind you!) in a restaurant. He stand there 365days, serving breakfast-for-today in a closed container with a big grin. Looking like saint, he shows a religious/spiritual man who is vegetarian. And, to make sure you get the meaning, food prepared by this spiritual person, is like having both God blessings and the food is hygiene, prepared with love. You don’t have to worry about diseases, and you will feel so full once finishing the food.

Ugly adulthood

I used to wish to grow up quickly,
Trying to different, to be someone else
Or to be an adult.

Now I’ve grown up, I wished that I didn’t.

Life seems to be full of problems
everyday.

I longed for my childhood, playing in the rain
racing paperboats.
Adulthood is unexpectedly ugly,
surround by ugly people with ugly hearts,
competing uglyly to live in this ugly world.
Living in ugly house, driving ugly cars
Working in ugly office in an ugly building.
They all look alike; ugly.

Adult are the weakest.
